More Pillow Stuffies: Wild Animals

I had to take a bit of a break from the pillow stuffy project as I had to make some custom made video game pillows.

I've received some good feedback from one of my testers so will be updating my instructions a bit.  I've slowly started listing them for sale on my Craftsy Store  but if there is one you want to buy - let me know and I can get it up on the store sooner rather than later.

This was the first of my new ones I made.
Not necessarily a success as not everyone can tell what it is right away - but I guess when you aren't a mainstream animal that is going to happen.

I was shopping on Friday and saw this material with the minky - a little bit stretchier - but every bit as soft.   The horns are felt.

I've been meaning to make a horse pattern and when I saw the zebra print - then I knew it was time.  My son said the mane at the top and the side should be connected so it's  more obvious that it's the continuation of the mane.

I modified the horse/zebra  pattern to include a full mane.

Let me know what you think.

More alphabet Digitizing

I've been playing around digitizing more alphabets.

I'd love to hear your opinion on these ones

I call this one Fiesta - It can be done with or without the applique.

This one is Block Floral font.  All stitched
UPDATE: On my Craftsy Store I have given a free sample (upper and lower case E) as well as listed the PES version for sale.   I hope to list the other formats in a few days.

This one is based on Broadway Font. It could also be done without the Applique, or I could try a fill or motif stitch.

What are your favorite Fonts to use in your embroidery projects?  Do any of the above thrill you?

Pillow Stuffies

I've been busy digitizing lots of different Pillow Stuffies. These need an 8 x 8 hoop for the main body and either 4 x 4 or  5 x 7 (or larger of course) for the ears/horns/wings/etc.

These are done in the hoop. Only a small bit of hand stitching after you turn them and stuff them.

These work great with Minky - and they end up so soft and cuddly - but can be done with fleece, cotton or anything that works for making stuffed animals.

You can see the chick being made in under a minute (sped up just a little)

Cat:
Striped Cat:
Tiger:

Bear:

Panda:
Penguin:

 Puppy:
 Sheep:
 Raccoon:
 Cow:

 Pig:
 Monkey: (and Sock Monkey)

Duck:

Chick:

I have lots more animals planned to add to the collection,

Now this is where I need help. I need people to help check out my conversion and test drive the instructions.  I only need one person per machine embroidery format -

  • you need to have a machine that has at least a 8" x 8" hoop
  • you need to promise to try out the design within the week
  • you need to promise to give constructive feedback
If you satisfy the requirements and are interested - please email me ptarmigandesignz @ gmail . com

with
  • embroidery machine type and model
  • embroidery machine format that your machine uses
  • your choice of design you wish to try out
